The Orpheum Theatre brings Broadway back to Kellogg Street with this charming, Tony Award-winning musical. The LA Times described 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as "a surprisingly poignant laugh-fest" that pokes fun at the pressures and over-the-top expectations these hormonal, 'tweener spellers feel, but that adult audiences realize never go away, even in the "real world."
Locally directed and co-produced by Kurt Killam, the show will feature a mix of regional and national acting and vocal talent.
Three show dates are offered: Friday, August 20 and Saturday August 21 at 7:30 pm and Sunday August 22 at 2 pm.
Adult tickets start at $15 and children 12 and under are 50% off.
